Fundraising at School!

At TELL, we understand the pivotal role that schools play in shaping future generations and fostering a culture of giving back. We believe that fundraising through schools not only raises vital funds for important causes but also instills values of empathy, solidarity, and global citizenship in students.

Here are some inspiring activities and fundraising events that schools can organize to make a meaningful impact:

Coin Drive

Organize a school-wide coin drive where students collect spare change from family, friends, and neighbors. Set up collection jars in classrooms or common areas, and watch as small contributions add up to make a big difference.

Spice up the school week with themed dress-up days, such as pajama day, superhero day, or crazy hat day. Students can participate by paying a small fee or donation to dress according to the theme, with proceeds supporting the chosen cause.

Host a friendly sports tournament, such as basketball, soccer, or volleyball, among students, teachers, and staff. Charge an entry fee for teams to participate and encourage spectators to donate towards cheering for their favorite teams.

Bring the community together with a school carnival featuring games, food stalls, and entertainment. Sell tickets for game booths and rides, and allocate a portion of the proceeds to charity while providing a day of fun for all.

Gather donations from local businesses, parents, and community members for a silent auction event. From gift baskets to services and experiences, auction off items to the highest bidders, with all proceeds going towards supporting meaningful initiatives.

Engage students in hands-on community service projects, such as beach cleanups, food drives, or volunteering at local shelters. Not only do these activities raise awareness about pressing issues, but they also provide students with opportunities to make a tangible difference in their communities.

Showcase the diverse talents of students and staff with a school talent show fundraiser. From singing and dancing to comedy and magic, let creativity shine on stage while raising funds through ticket sales or donations.

By organizing these activities and events, schools not only raise funds for important causes but also nurture a sense of empathy, altruism, and social responsibility among students. Together, we can empower the next generation to become compassionate leaders and change-makers in their communities and beyond.
