Tokyo Tower Climb 2025 Wrap Up

Tokyo Tower Climb 2025 Wrap Up

On May 24, 2025, we once again held the Tokyo Tower Climb. In spite of worries about being washed out by early rainy season showers in the week leading up to the event, the rain held off and allowed our 340+ climbers to move for mental health, shattering stigma and championing our cause with every one of their 600 steps to the top!

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out bright and (very) early in the morning to take on this challenge. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors: Bloomberg, AG1, KKR, UBS, Edelman, FGS Global, Apex, Ashurst, Momentum Worldwide Movers, Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, and WPP.

We also really appreciate the team at Tokyo Tower, who allowed us to commandeer their stairway for the morning and ensure we could partner with one of Tokyo’s most iconic structures! Your flexibility and support in putting the event together are a big part of why the event came together so smoothly!

Warm Hearts Coffee (long-time TTC supporters), Fukuro Crepes (popular carbohydrates), and Bridges Hotdogs (who donated their TTC proceeds) helped everyone feel fuelled and ready to go on the day. Thank you to you all for the delicious treats you provided.

Urban Heroes Tokyo led our runners through their paces in a fun and energetic series of warm-ups, making sure everyone was prepped for peak performance! Again, thank you so much for donating your time so generously!

Volunteers from Goldman Sachs, Global Shapers, and a doughty team of TELL supporters showed up on both Friday and Saturday to enthusiastically support the TELL team building tents, preparing goodie bags, and generally just ensuring that the event ran as well as it could. A team of photographers made sure all the important moments were captured, and our amazing DJ Mucaro (who donated his time and equipment) cheered everyone up and created a fun and lively vibe!

We hope everyone who joined enjoyed the morning, and we look forward to seeing you continuing to champion mental health in the future! Missed out on tickets this time around? We hope you will join us in the autumn for our next big event, the Step Up Challenge, where we will be asking as many people as possible to take 20,320 steps (or to mark this number in a way that feels meaningful to you), to honour the lives lost to suicide in Japan last year. The event will be running between September 10th (World Suicide Prevention Day) and October 10th (World Mental Health Day). Keep an eye out for more details in these newsletters or follow us on social media to help us keep making a difference by showing up for mental health!
