TELL Storytime: Mio the Beautiful

Join us for a reading of the children’s book Mio the Beautiful by author Kinota Braithwaite. The book deals with issues of being biracial in Japan, discrimination, and bullying at school. The reading will be followed by a discussion where children are welcome to ask questions and share experiences. The book is rated for children 0-8, but people of all ages are welcome.
Kinota Braithwaite is a teacher, writer, and anti-racism and anti-bullying activist living in Fujisawa, Japan. Participants will be entered into a drawing for a free copy of Mio the Beautiful, to be chosen at the end of the storytime.
