About the topic: Anger is an emotion with a bad press - and that’s because very few people manage it effectively. Sara Hitchens will discuss the psychology and physiology of anger and how parents can actively teach their children to express this healthy emotion in a way that works for, not against them.

About the presenter: Sara Hitchens is a UK-trained counsellor and psychotherapist, currently working in Tokyo in private practice. For the last 3 years, she has been worked as a school counsellor at the British School and the International School of the Sacred Heart. She is an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred); and also a member of International Mental Health Professionals Japan (IMHPJ).
Sara has lived and worked internationally, in Spain, France, Pakistan and previously in Tokyo from 1985-89. This has given her personal experience of the nomadic life-style, and an interest in cross-cultural issues.
