Stressed...or Depressed?
Signs, Risk Factors and Ways to Address Depression in Teens

This workshop will help parents and educators understand the risk factors, symptoms, and ways to address depression and comorbid disorders (eg. anxiety, eating disorders) in adolescents. The goal of the workshop is to create awareness regarding adolescent depression and discuss ways to help a depressed adolescent.

About the presenter

Born and raised in India, pediatric neuropsychologist Dr, Shruti Rane is the latest addition to the TELL Counseling team. Shruti started studying Japanese language in high school and has been passionate about the Japanese language and culture ever since.

Shruti worked at the Kennedy Krieger Institute as a pediatric neuropsychologist before moving to Japan, and is licensed in Maryland. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and was awarded her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston. She sees children for evaluation with a variety of developmental and neurological conditions.
