Description:

Blooming is just the beginning.

Seasons are like our life. Sprouting, growing, trunks become branches, branches become trees. Even when they dry, they will grow again. We’re in the cycle of life.

Come join Kimika in traditional Kyoto for a peaceful and reflective ikebana workshop. You will get the chance to experience authentic Japanese flower arranging while also learning about seasonal plants in Japan, a brief history on ikebana and how to practice gratitude by placing one stem at a time. This fundraising workshop will be broken down into 3 parts:

1 – Flowering arranging

2 – Drinking tea and gratitude practice

3 – Learning about the history of ikebana

No equipment is required, however, a large plastic bag is recommended to help carry the delicate flowers back home. If you don’t have a large bag, there will be some provided. All you really need is yourself and whatever stories you would like to share. As there will be tea served with a snack, please let us know if you have any allergies or food restrictions.
Please email [email protected] for registration and any questions.
