If your life is in danger, call the police at 110
If you have noticed changes in the behavior and mood of someone you know; if they have told you that they are feeling suicidal; or if they are talking on social media about ending their life, it can be hard to know what to do. If you are worried, don’t ignore what you are feeling. Trust your instincts. There are things you can do to support them.
Reach out to the TELL Lifeline. TELL Lifeline volunteer support workers offer confidential support every day of the year, Monday – Thursday from 9 AM – 11 PM and Friday – Sunday from 9 AM – 2 AM. Service hours are split between phone (03 5774 0992) and chat, please see our weekly schedule here.

If you think that someone you know might be struggling, find an opportunity to talk to them directly about your concerns. For most people listening and showing you care will help.
Recognize Warning signs and risk factors
Many people feel such relief that someone has noticed they are struggling and have taken the time to ask them about it. However, if you are still worried about them, then getting help and support is very important.
