Turmeric, commonly known in the Okinawan direction as “ucchin” is largely produced in Okinawa. Come join us to experience the harvest of turmeric out in the countryside of Nago (the northern part of Okinawa near Henoko).
There will be 2 types of work: Heavy lifting and digging of turmeric and lightly separating the turmeric into fingers. This can be done by anybody including small children.
