Ikuno Gakuen provides services and shelter for people who need a safe refuge from violence and other abuses. Services provided can help domestic violence/sexual violence/abuse victims, provide refuge for those wanting to escape certain sexual relations or the sex industry, and aid LGBT individuals. Website information and services are only in Japanese; you may need to inquire about foreign language support.
Individuals can stay in the provided shelter for up to 3 months (1500 yen per night for adults, children 500 yen); the step house can be stayed in for up to 2 years. 2 weeks of free shelter are sponsored by the government (application needed).
Counseling and supportive services are also provided. The hotline can be used to discuss issues relating to abuse (domestic violence, sexual violence), relationship problems, LGBT issues, and other topics. Legal assistance can also be offered by appointment.
