Winners of 2024 Step Up Challenge

Dear TELL supporters,

Our 2024 Step Up Challenge was a great success, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Whether you walked 21,837 steps to honor the lives lost to suicide last year in Japan, fundraised to help us extend our services to more people in need, or engaged your loved ones in discussions about mental health, you should be proud of the work you have put in.

It is TELL’s annual tradition to give a TELL award to individuals and organizations who have gone the extra mile in the Step Up Challenge:

Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) was the corporate winner of both the Fundraising Award and Awareness Award, raising ¥436,780 and organizing a walkathon for mental health where 170 employees participated. St. Michael’s was the school winner of the Fundraising Award and Awareness Award. St. Michael’s raised ¥134,000, held an all-school “Climb Up” walk, and hosted student-led assemblies on mental health.

Team Woody was the community winner of the Fundraising Award, raising ¥324,552. Cameron Peagler was the community winner of the Awareness Award, with a beautiful photo project capturing the social pressures that affect mental health. Luis Corral won the Most Steps Award, with 30,519 steps tallied in a day!

Congratulations to all of the TELL Award winners!
