Saitô Clinic – Institute for Family Functioning

This outpatient clinic provides a variety of day/night programs–medication management, individual counseling, group therapy, and self-care activities–to encourage a multidisciplinary approach to treating mental health disorders. The clinic’s founder, Saitô Satoru, is a specialist in alcohol and substance abuse (he introduced the concepts of America’s Adult Children of Alcoholics to Japan),  but clinic clients also suffer from eating disorders, depression, and PTSD. The clinic emphasizes family relations and the problems that can result from family dysfunction. Services are offered to family members in addition to the identified patient. National insurance covers partial cost of care.
