New Zealand currently has four Honorary Consuls in Japan. The Honorary Consuls are Japanese citizens who perform notarial, consular, and promotional functions on behalf of New Zealand in addition to their normal business. They help strengthen business and other links between New Zealand and their region, by encouraging activities such as trade promotion and sister city relationships.
