Thank You from the TELL Lifeline Director
Dear Friends,
On behalf of everyone at TELL, we would like to say a big thank you to all of you who donated to our Toll-Free end-of-year fundraising campaign. Thanks to your incredible generosity we have been able to raise enough funds to pilot two months of Toll-Free Support, which surpasses our initial ask!
For more than 50 years TELL has been supporting Japan’s international communities’ mental health needs through our Lifeline. Later, we added professional counselling, EAP services, outreach events, workshops, suicide prevention, and disaster responses. As we celebrate 50 years of saving lives and helping people be more resilient, the recent earthquakes and disasters in Ishikawa are a timely reminder that access to crisis support is an essential service and that equitable barrier-free access is critical in ensuring everyone can receive important resources and supports and make it to the next day.
We will keep you updated on the progress and impact of the Toll-Free project, which we are hoping to roll out in April and September when more people struggle with suicidal thoughts in Japan. We are truly touched by your kindness and support. Without you, we would not be able to provide these vital services, and so on behalf of TELL and those we serve, we extend our sincerest thanks.
Sincerely,
Vickie Skorji
TELL Lifeline Director
