Laurel Pegler

From Somerset in the UK, she studied French and Italian at Durham University and after graduation worked in sales in the organic and fair-trade food industry.

She moved to Japan to teach in 2007 and following a few years in Tokyo has been living in Fukuoka since 2011. She has been involved with TELL in various ways since 2019.

When not working, Laurel enjoys exploring Fukuoka’s beaches and rivers with her two children and connecting with other local families through a parents’ group she runs.
