Jenny Reed is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor through the State of Florida.

Jenny earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in Orlando, Florida and her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. She has almost ten years experience as a therapist and has worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families who have experienced difficulties related to anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, parenting issues, anger management, and relationships. Jenny has worked closely with the court system in the past, providing court ordered mental health assessments as well as having testified numerous times as an expert witness in the field of child abuse. Prior to working as a therapist, Jenny worked for the Child Protection Team in Sanford, Florida, completing forensic interviews for children ages 3-17 in cases where there were allegations of physical or sexual abuse. In this role, Jenny also provided trainings on child abuse for the community as well as for law enforcement investigating these cases.

Jenny utilizes a variety of evidence based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy as well as utilizing mindfulness techniques as part of her practice. Jenny believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for progress and success in therapy and, therefore, provides a nonjudgmental environment where her clients will feel comfortable expressing themselves.
