You may also know we receive very little support from the Japanese government, and that continual turnover among the people and groups we support means we must work to ensure that we are known not only among potential Lifeline and TELL Counseling clients, but also among potential volunteer telephone counselors and donors.
As the holidays approach, for many of you it is the season to determine what organizations will benefit from your annual charitable giving, and I hope you all will consider continuing to support TELL, helping us to move ahead with our efforts to make the Lifeline a 24-hour service, to launch text/chat-based Lifeline services, and to provide subsidized counseling to those in need. Our long-time U.S. 501(c)(3), U.S. TELL, rebranded this year and is now known as The Global Fund for Mental Health (and is pursuing an expanded ambit). It is still possible to obtain a U.S. tax deduction for a donation to TELL in Japan via The Global Fund for Mental Health.
Please tick the “TELL – Japan” box when you are asked where you would like to direct your donation. Donating is simple, and we are grateful for donations at any level. Simply follow https://telljp.wpengine.com/help/donate/ and follow the on-screen directions.
On behalf of the TELL board, our staff and our volunteer phone counselors, thank you very much for your support!
