2025 TELL Legend – Graham Harris
Last month, we had the great privilege of reconnecting with a true legend, Graham Harris, during his recent visit to Japan. Graham served as a volunteer and board member from 1989 to 2010, dedicating more than 1,500 hours of direct service to supporting people in need, along with countless additional hours behind the scenes, training new volunteers, and serving as a Lifeline supervisor.
During our conversation that evening, we also learned that Graham’s wife, Kyoko, contributed a decade of service as a volunteer with Tokyo Inochi no Denwa, demonstrating a family commitment to help others. Graham’s passion to help others continued after he returned to London, where he volunteered for the Helpline of The Compassionate Friends, which is a charity to support family members where there has been the death of a child.
