Connoisseurs 2016 Auction Provides Great Support for TELL’s Lifeline
On November 11, TELL held our Connoisseurs’ Auction – our major annual fundraiser – at the Ark Hills Club in Akasaka. Despite an annoying problem with a new sound system on which the club’s staff had not been trained as well as they might have been, the event was a success.
The TELL Mountain Challenge is Back!
On February 17-19, 2017, TELL will organize its first Mountain Challenge in Shiga Kogen, site of the 1998 Nagano Olympic downhill ski and snowboard events.

TELL Survey: Lack of Mental Health Care in Japan
A survey conducted by TELL has found that few English-speaking Japan-based workers believe their employers provide them with adequate mental health care support; over 50 percent of respondents said their employers do not offer mental health care services at all. The majority of respondents to the survey, conducted online in English, also said they feel uncomfortable discussing mental health concerns in the workplace, and noted that even when mental health care services are offered, confidentiality is a concern.
