Alexander Dmitrenko as TELL Chairman

Now, TELL is very happy to announce the appointment of Alexander Dmitrenko as its Chairman, effective June 1st. Alexander is a partner at Ashurst (Tokyo) focusing on compliance and regulatory issues. He is an attorney qualified in NY (NYU), England & Wales, and Russia; while registered in Japan as a Gaikokuho-Jimu-Bengoshi. Previously he worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and also Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. Since 2020 he has been an Adjunct Professor at Temple Law School Japan and has served on the TELL board since 2018.

Alexander is also a co-Chair of Lawyers for LGBT & Allies Network (LLAN), a Japanese NPO promoting LGBT rights. He also supports an orphanage near Yangon, Myanmar. In his spare time, he serves as a “friendship ambassador” of the island of Hachijojima.
