This interactive workshop will focus on ways to use mindfulness to help reduce the typical stressors of parenting by providing exercises and resources for daily practice. We will explore the ABC’s of mindfulness, mindful eating, how to stay present and connect with your breath, discuss common roadblocks to mindfulness at home, and I’ll provide a few useful tips and fun resources to help teach mindfulness skills to your child.
Karin is from the United States and has been a School Psychologist for over 20 years, mostly working for international schools, leading counseling and learning support teams. Helping children and adolescents find success in school and at home, and increasing confidence, self-advocacy andresilience along the way are her specialty areas. She is currently in private practice here in Tokyo and offers psycho-educational assessment services for school age children and adolescents. She has training in mindfulness in schools, and is passionate about the power of living in the present moment as a way to reduce stress and enjoy a fuller life.
