2026 – 7th Annual Tokyo Tower Climb

On April 19th, we held our 7th Tokyo Tower Climb. The event once again sold out early, the weather was amazing, and 400 climbers came out to move for mental health, shattering stigma, and championed our cause with every one of their 600 steps to the top!

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out bright and (very) early in the morning to take on this challenge. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors: Bloomberg, Exo,  UBS, FGS Global, Apex, Ashurst, Momentum Worldwide Movers, Funeral Support Services, and Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu.

We also really appreciate the team at Tokyo Tower, who once again kindly allowed us to commandeer their stairway for the morning, ensuring we could partner with one of Tokyo’s most iconic structures! Your flexibility and support in putting the event together are a big part of why the event came together so smoothly!

A big thank you to Rei Yoshida, Declan Somers, and Makoto Yamada from Warm Hearts Coffee (long-time TTC supporters), and to water from Hoon Kim from AG1 and Roger Yamashita from Coca-Cola Japan for keeping everyone hydrated. Your generous refreshments helped participants and volunteers feel ready to go.

Club 360 led our runners through their paces in a fun and energetic series of warm-ups, making sure everyone was prepped for peak performance! Again, thank you so much for donating your time so generously!

A special thanks to Venese and Flip Productions for helping us organise the event. Along with 40+ volunteers, including a few Global Shapers, and a couple of special Saturday TELL volunteers (you know who you are!), who enthusiastically supported the TELL team to build tents, carry equipment and event materials, and generally just ensuring that the event ran as well as it could.

Our photographers did a fantastic job capturing the day’s key moments, and a special thank you to our volunteer videographer Seb Higginson for helping document the event. We also appreciate DJ Mucaro, who generously volunteered to create a fun and lively atmosphere throughout the day.

We hope everyone who joined enjoyed the morning and had fun. We look forward to seeing you continue to champion mental health in the future! Missed out on tickets this time around? Don’t worry, we hope you will join us in the autumn for our next big event, the TELL Step Up Challenge, where we will be asking as many people as possible to take 19,097 steps (or to mark this number in a way that feels meaningful to you), to honour the lives lost to suicide in Japan last year. The event will be running between September 10th (World Suicide Prevention Day) and October 10th (World Mental Health Day). Keep an eye out for more details in these newsletters or follow us on social media to help us keep making a difference by showing up for mental health!
