Born and raised in the heart of the North American continent, Manitoba, Canada, Sandra moved to Japan in 2006 after completing her graduate studies in philosophy. She lived in a few places in western Japan, before ultimately settling down with her family in Okinawa. Even though she comes from a cold land-locked place, she fell in love with the warm spirit of Okinawa and never wants to leave.
Coming from a background in philosophy and working as an English teacher to all ages, Sandra has been involved with TELL in various ways since 2022 and is passionate about mental health and raising awareness about the TELL organization. When not working, she can be found exploring beaches with her grumpy old rescue dog or getting lost in a big fat historical novel.
