Ms. Udell is an English and Japanese bilingual psychotherapist. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois, and a National Certified Counselor under supervision by Darin Boylan.
Ms. Udell earned her BA in Psychology from The State University of New York and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Schaumburg, Illinois. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, and applying a variety of evidence-based theoretical orientations including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and Solution Focused Therapy in individual and group settings. Her passion is to help clients increase their awareness of their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings, and assist them in making healthy, life enriching behavioral changes. Over the last 25 years she has lived in the US for about 50% of the time and is also a military spouse. She understands the military life styles and hardships, as well as life overseas. In her last position, she provided individual therapy sessions with children and adolescents diagnosed with a variety of disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, depressive disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Elimination Disorder, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. Also, she facilitated social skills groups and group therapy dedicated to building self-esteem, self-worth, and personal safety for girls. She provides play therapy to children using the Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) approach.
