Renee is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist from California

Renee Rugile was born and raised in San Diego, California. She moved to Camarillo, California to attend California State University Channel Islands in 2008 where she earned her Bachelor's in Sociology. Renee continued her education and pursuing her passion to help others and earned her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy from Argosy University in San Diego, CA. Following her completion of her Masters Degree, Renee worked with Community Resource Foundation in San Diego working with adults in crisis providing counseling, case management services, and leading therapeutic counseling groups. In January of 2016, following a relocation to Honolulu, HI, Renee worked as a Victim Advocate for Family Advocacy Program in Schofield Barracks for Soldiers and their families providing crisis intervention, safety assessment and planning. While working with victim advocacy she also graduated from the National Victim Assistance Academy. In October of 2016 Renee began working for Hina Mauka as a clinician and was later promoted to Clinical Team lead for 7 clinicians. As a clinician, Renee provided counseling and group therapy services for individuals struggling with addiction, those dual diagnosed, and their families who were impacted by the disease. Renee also provided psychoeducational classes utilizing both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior therapy to help individuals gain further insight into the disease of addiction and to assist developing healthy coping skills. In addition to being a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Renee is also a Navy spouse and mother of two. Renee recently relocated to Okinawa in early 2018, she enjoys exploring Okinawa, learning about Okinawan culture, discovering new beaches with her family, and traveling. Renee’s solution focused therapeutic approach includes re-discovering strengths, and adaptation to address complex relationship issues and personal life challenges. She integrates a myriad of relevant complementary techniques in order to discover existing, future and possible solutions. Each clients treatment is tailored to address their specific concerns and needs. Changes is difficult but also inevitable. Renee looks forward to working with clients to achieve their desired goals and to work towards a healthier and happier tomorrow.
