Ms. Yamashita earned her M.S. degree in school psychology from University of Oregon.
After completing her degree, she practiced as a school psychologist in the United States. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in school psychology at University of Utah. Her training background include behavioral and cognitive behavioral approach. She has extensive experiences working with children with disabilities, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her training and interest includes, assessment, Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS), Multi-tier System of Supports (MTSS) early intervention for children with disabilities, parent training, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), schoolwide training for teachers and administrators, social skills training and behavior consultation.
