TELL Japan

Event: A run for TELL, Japan around Lake Kasumigaura

Saturday April 27th, 2019
Thru to May 1st
Lake Kasumigaura, Ibaraki, Japan

Lake Kasumigaura is Japan’s second largest lake and is located in Ibaraki about 60 – 70 kilometers from Tokyo. Rajyashree Sundaram is taking on the 130-kilometer challenge to run around the entire lake.

In 2013 I found myself in Japan, without Japanese language skills, in a challenging and demanding professional situation, and crippled by clinical depression that began in 2010.

Right from the beginning of my days in Japan and through many difficult days/nights, I was supported by humane and non-judgmental TELL lifeline telephone counselors. I was lucky. I recovered, am healthy, and giving my best to living life to its full potential.

I felt it is time to give back to TELL, Japan which helped me, is helping many like me AND IS SAVING LIVES.

I would like to say thank you to TELL by raising funds and awareness about mental health whilst doing my favorite activity – running.
