TELL Welcomes Dr. Shruti Rane

Born and raised in India, pediatric neuropsychologist Dr, Shruti Rane is the latest addition to the TELL Counseling team. Shruti started studying Japanese language in high school and has been passionate about the Japanese language and culture ever since. She is studying for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test – Level N2 and hopes to be able to pass it in 2016.

Shruti worked at the Kennedy Krieger Institute as a pediatric neuropsychologist before moving to Japan, and is licensed in Maryland. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and was awarded her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston. She sees children for evaluation with a variety of developmental and neurological conditions.

Her hobbies include growing organic vegetables, cooking (her friends and husband think she makes great Indian curry!), and traveling. And although she has seen cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C., she says she is really looking forward to seeing them in Japan next spring!
