Eriko Kobayashi-Suzuki (PhD)

Dr. Kobayashi-Suzuki is an English and Japanese bilingual psychologist, licensed in the state of California.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Sophia University and University of California, Irvine, and her graduate studies at Columbia University and the Pennsylvania State University. She has worked in the following settings: psychiatric hospital, outpatient mental health clinic, emergency room, university counseling centers, EAP (employee assistance program) in the US and Japan. She was also a visiting associate professor at Nagoya University teaching CBT seminars and in psychological crisis management.

Dr. Kobayashi-Suzuki takes integrative approach to therapy, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic approach. Her areas of interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, cross-cultural issues, relationship issues, mindfulness, psychological testing, and supervision/training.

Dr. Kobayashi-Suzuki sees children for assessments/testing, and both children and adults for therapy in English and Japanese. She also provides coaching for adult individuals with ADHD/ADD. She is available both the TELL Tokyo and Yokohama offices.
