Mark Davidson

Mark Davidson has been a member of the TELL Board of Directors since November 2015. He joined Amway Japan G.K. as Director of Government and External Affairs in August 2015, following 28 years as a career diplomat with the U.S. Department of State. Mark served in Japan four times, including as U.S. Embassy Minister-Counselor for Public Affairs, Cultural Attaché, and Director of the American Centers in Tokyo and Sapporo. He also served in Pakistan, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Spain. Mark has been Chair of the Fulbright Commissions in Japan, Pakistan, and Paraguay, and was a member of the CULCON U.S-Japan Education Task Force. He has taught at the U.S. National Defense University in Washington, DC and published numerous articles and book chapters on foreign policy and strategic communications. He is currently also a member of the Board of Overseers of Temple University Japan. Mark holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an M.A. in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School, Tufts University.
