Ai Kokunugi is a bilingual psychotherapist and the Coordinator for TELL Children Protection Program.

Ms. Kokunugi is a bilingual Japanese-English licensed social worker in the State of Texas. She earned her master’s degree in social work from Portland State University. She has worked with children, adults, and families in a wide range of settings including community mental health clinics, hospitals, residential facilities for children, and schools. She integrates various therapeutic approaches including client-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and experiential therapies (play, art, and sand). Her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, relationship issues, parenting, early childhood mental health, and child abuse prevention and early intervention.
Ms. Kokunugi provides psychotherapy to children and families in both Tokyo and Yokohama offices.

Apart from her role as a psychotherapist for children and families, Ms. Kokunugi is the Coordinator for TELL Child Protection Program.
