FAQs – Counseling (Distance)

I live outside of Tokyo/Yokohama, and I need help right now. What do I do?

In case of emergency, please contact the police or your local emergency line.

If you wish to speak to someone for emotional support, please call TELL Lifeline: 03-5774-0992 (English only, everyday, 9 am to 11 pm).

TELL Counseling is not equipped to provide emergency services.

I am interested in TELL-e-Therapy (Distance Counseling), how do I get started?

How long will it take before I can schedule an appointment?

For TELL-e-Therapy service, clients are required to complete and submit several documents and settle the initial session fee prior to the appointment day. Thus , it usually takes one to one and a half weeks from the initial contact before the initial session takes place.

How do I settle the payment for the counseling fee?

For the initial session, we require clients to settle the payment prior to the scheduled appointment date. For more information regarding payments, please see Counseling Fees and Payment Policies
