Busy as a Bee is Ben Beesley

BenBeesley(website)
Ben spent most of his 20s running a music events company based in London, putting on various kinds of electronic music parties all over the UK and Europe. After ditching the clubs at home, he ended up in Niseko teaching snowboarding and skiing while keeping the bars busy running events and DJing on the side.
Living in ‘Sydney in the Snow’ (or Niseko, as it is known in Japanese) taught Ben only one word in Japanese, ‘biru’, and after two years of ‘biru’ it was time to leave.
Time to learn Japanese. Ben spent a year studying Japanese full-time at The Academy of Language Arts in Iidabashi with the dream of becoming totally fluent. Surprisingly, he didn’t become fluent but now knows how to order more than just a beer.
He joined us in October last year and has been responsible for organizing the Connoisseurs’ Auction,  our new wine pairing dinners, and pub quiz, plus our upcoming Runathon. He also creates and sends out this newsletter and deals with the general marketing of TELL.
In his spare time, you can either find him throwing himself around a mountain, snowboarding in the winter, or attempting to surf in the summer. Things have taken a slight turn recently, though, with a baby on the way and a wedding to Yoko planned for June.
