ACCJ Members Donate ¥1.5 Million to Support TELL

Published on February 11, 2017

Since TELL’s Lifeline was established in 1973, we have depended on community support – on the generosity of donors and the commitment of our fantastic volunteer phone counselors.

The international business community is a critical TELL partner; without their help we could not continue to operate; in return, we do our best to help people live happy and productive lives (which has a significant positive impact on corporate bottom lines).

Every year, the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan membership raises funds to support community-serving non-profit organizations, and in 2016 ACCJ members donated ¥1.5 million to support TELL’s operations.

On the evening of February 8, at the ACCJ Tokyo office, ACCJ President Christopher LaFleur and ACCJ Community Service Advisory Council Chair Tom Whitson gave thanks to a number of non-profits, including TELL, for their service to the community.

We are very grateful for ACCJ member company support, the support of the ACCJ staff, and the support of member company employees and their families!
